Body Traits

In terms of the pets themselves, body traits determine the largest component of what your pets will look like. Indeed, many of the other traits (hats, wings, glasses, etc.) were designed to look various ways depending on the body type of your pet. Here, I break down the rarity of each body trait and organize them in a way that makes it easy to distinguish differences across elements and their variants.

A couple disclaimers to start: all of the stats I'm writing below are subject to change as more pets hatch. Also, there could be variants of pets that haven't hatched yet. Variants are usually considered more rare (think shinies from Pokemon), but I found a notable exception.

Note that the percentages I give here are not the same as the ones you'll see in the "properties" section on OpenSea. This is because OS includes unhatched eggs in their percentages. I only used hatched eggs in my calculations and I extrapolate from there. OpenSea makes everything look more rare than it actually is. I am calculating this way to give you a better estimate of the whole collection.

There are 12 different body types with a different appearance for each of the 4 elements. Combining those 48 bodies with the 15 variants, we have 63 body types in the collection so far. These 63 have different rarities, representing anywhere from roughly 2% to 0.03% of pets.

General trends in variant art: Earth variants come with more vegetation, Air variants come with alternate body colors and darker clouds. Water variants are usually more "icy" than their counterparts, and fire variants tend to have magma/volcanic aesthetics.

Note that Base 1 is 8% of all pets, so each elemental body within base 1 is roughly 2% of all pets (they're approximately evenly distributed). This is basically as common as any given body type in the collection will be.

Other than the Base 8 earth variant and maybe the Base 9 air variant 1, price hasn't reflected the rarity of body types to date.

Base 6: Note that the non-variant Base 6 Fire pet is the rarest body in the collection. However, it is listed as having the same body rarity as all other base 6 pets.

The base 12 water variant is called "Variant 1", so there may be a variant 2 that hasn't been hatched yet.
